November 14, 2019- Station 18 was dispatched on Second and Third Alarm to Hepburnville (Station 15) for residential fire. Tanker 18, Ambulance 18, and Mobile Air 18 responded on second alarm. Rescue 18 responded on third alarm.
Members responded too numerous emergencies in Loyalsock Township and surrounding communities. This Halloween was extra spooky with multiple trees down, area flooding, and short power outages throughout the township.
Members started the weekend with a busy Friday afternoon filled with Motor Vehicle Accidents on the Golden Strip. First Accident took place 1900 Block of East Third Street where vehicle crashed into building support beam.
Station 18 and multiple mutual aid companies responded to Denny's on the Golden Strip for fire in the wall. Crews were called to 1716 East Third Street, Loyalsock Township for reported fire in the wall.
Wednesday afternoon, Station 18 was dispatched to a working residential fire on Bloomingrove Road. Mutual Aid Companies were also dispatched on the initial alarm. First Arriving units from the City of Williamsport confirmed working trailer home fire with smoke showing from the structure.
Station 18 was dispatched to 1716 East Third Street, out in front of Denny's for a motor vehicle accident. MICU 18 arrived to find the operator of a motorcycle pinned under mid-sized SUV.Rescue 18 responded and started rescue operations.
Members responded to Williamsport Home Appartments and Skilled Nursing Facility for a loss in power due to a tree falling on wires on Ravine Road in Loyalsock Township. Tree caused power outage and phone outage to both facilities and neighbors in the community on Tuesday.
Station 18, 14, and 15 were dispatched up Lycoming Creek Road for a vehicle into a structure. An elderly man was taken to UPMC Williamsport to be treated for injuries he suffered when his pickup truck crashed into Cummins Sales and Service.
Station 18 was dispatched to 1925 Warrensville road for Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries. Engine 18 responded from special assignment at Loyalsock High School to the scene. Crews assisted with removal of 3 patients from one vehicle and initial EMS treatment of one patient in the second car.
Tonight, members provided standby coverage at Loyalsock Township High School to honor the class of 2019. As temperatures warmed up, members responded to multiple emergencies within the community today. It certainly was not ordinary as our Commander and Chief came to Williamsport to visit our neighbors in Montoursville.
A three-alarm blaze destroyed a spacious house on Hillsdale Drive, west of Poco Farm Road, early Sunday morning, leaving a woman homeless. The resident told fire officials she fled the house after she heard crackling and a "swooshing" sound.
