Members were kept busy this weekend responding to multiple vehicle accidents in the community.
Saturday Morning, Members responded to a motor vehicle accident with multiple injuries on 5950 Pleasant Valley Road. Crews arrived to find one vehicle over the embankment with multiple occupants still in the vehicle. Crews from Loyalsock, Eldred Township, and Montoursville extricated and removed patients from the SUV. Unfortunately there was one fatality in this incident. Deputy Coroner was requested and responded to the scene. For more information on this incident, please check out the article in Sunday's Williamsport Sun Gazette.
Following the first MVA, Crews responded to another crash at 4085 Northway Road with minor injuries. Crews assisted EMS with patient care and cleared the roadway from hazards. Later that evening, members responded to another car crash at the intersection of Reed Street and Westminster Drive. Crews found one car hit a parked car on Westminster Drive.
Sunday afternoon, members responded to a small head in collision at the intersection of Northway Road and East Third Street. Rescue 18 responded and crew assisted MICU 18 with patient care and performed hazard control.
We would like to thank all the neighboring companies for their assistance and coverage during our busy weekend. Team work and support is great in ensuring the community is safe and protected. Members would like to remind all drivers to slow down and move over if possible.

Members were out late Christmas Eve and early Christmas Morning due to winter storm that came into the township. Santa was nice enough to give the chief a call while he was delivering packages to all the good boys and girls, as a heads up on some potential flooding to our neighbors on Heshbon Road and low areas off Warrensville Road. We are very appreciative of the members of the community who were able to evacuate their homes and celebrate Christmas with loved ones on higher ground.
On September 10, 2020, members responded IMU 18 up to Clinton County. Crew assisted with the scene management and logistics of the Lock Haven Hospital Fire. Crew provided radio incident support, and emergency management resources to command staff on scene. Clinton County EMA used the unit to bring together all the incident command staff and generate action plans to ensure all patients were evacuated and relocated safely. Crew was made available early Friday morning.
Summer is finally here and we are just as excited to get out and about the community. Within 30 minutes of getting fitted for our new turnout gear, members were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue 18 and Micu 18 crew responded carefully through the snow and removed one patient who was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Assisting on the call was Eldred Volunteer Fire Company, and Loyalsock Township Road Crew. Members posed to show their new gear was officially broken in and in use.

Members responded to Williamsport Home Appartments and Skilled Nursing Facility for a loss in power due to a tree falling on wires on Ravine Road in Loyalsock Township. Station 18 was dispatched to 1925 Warrensville road for Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries. Engine 18 responded from special assignment at Loyalsock High School to the scene. Crews assisted with removal of 3 patients from one vehicle and initial EMS treatment of one patient in the second car. Ambulance 18 and Ambulance 20 provided EMS response to the scene.
Tonight, members provided standby coverage at Loyalsock Township High School to honor the class of 2019. Each year Loyalsock Township High School delivers graduating class diplomas in a unique fashion. This year diplomas were delivered via helicopter to the field. From the members of Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company, we would like to congratulate the class of 2019.
As temperatures warmed up, members responded to multiple emergencies within the community today. It certainly was not ordinary as our Commander and Chief came to Williamsport to visit our neighbors in Montoursville. Members staffed the station to assist with emergencies within Lycoming County as President Trump brought thousands to visit.
