Engine 18 Arrives!

Friday, August 02, 2013 - The Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 took delivery of a 2013 Toyne/Spartan Gladiator to replace our 1987 Sutphen Pumper. The new Engine 18 carries 750 gallons of water and has a Hale FoamLogix System with a 20 gallon foam cell. Added to the engine was a preconnected Bltzfire Monitor to the rear, new saw compliment, MSA Evolution 5600 Thermal Imaging Camera, Altair 4x Gas Meter, Tempest VSG 16” Blower Fan, 16” Tempest Smoke Ejector Fan, and other items. Rescue 18 Extricates One on East Third Street

Monday, April 08, 2013 - At 1910 hours, just before weekly training was about to begin, Station 18 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries in the area of East Third Street and the I-180 west on-ramp. Chief 1-18 arrived on-scene to find 2 vehicles with one person still confined to the vehicle with fuel leaking. Rescue 18 responded on dispatch with 6 and went to work immediately stabilizing the vehicle and removing the driver's side door for patient removal. Units responding were Rescue 18, Special Unit 18, Car 18, MICU 18, and Ambulance 18.

Engine 18 2nd Alarm to Pennsdale

Saturday, March 30, 2013 - At almost 6 am Station 18 was dispatched to 329 Biddle Rd, Mill Creek Township for a second alarm working structure fire. The Engine responded with 5 and headed out on the 20-25 minute drive to the remote location. Engine crew assisted with water supply operations and overhaul before returning to service. Units worked for several hours before returning.
