One of your family members a service animal? Are they included in your emergency preparations and evacuation plans?

Some families in the community have service animals who help members of all ages with various jobs at home, in public, and one on one basis. Even with all their speciality training, they should be treated just like a member of the family in home fire evacuation plans and emergency preparedness, ensuring they know the way out and can be accounted for during an emergency. Talking with members of the Fire Company, we can assist your family in providing some suggestions to ensure they are included and documented for our emergency responses to your home and loved ones.

  • Emergency Contact Card in their Service Vest.
    • Service Animal's Name
    • VET Contact Information
    • Home Address
    • Owner's Contact Information
    • Secondary Contact for animal control if handler has to be separated from the animal.
    • Any Special Instructions, commands, etc.
  • Home and Vehicle Service Animal Markers/Stickers
  • Meet and Greet with Fire Company and Police Department
