Poolside Preparedness

Summer is here and we hope the warm sunny weather stays with us all summer long. While you have time floating in the river, pool, or just laying out soaking in the sun, its never too late to prepare for emergencies. Between all the fun this summer, remember to talk with your family about being prepared for emergencies. As you see everyone at picnics, take a few minutes and update those contact lists. In addition, review with your summer visitors your home evacuation plan and ensure they know your meeting location if an incident does occur. While you and your family are out exploring the community, or visiting a new location, take notice to alerting and emergency notification broadcasts so you can stay informed if an emergency does take place. Last but not least, have fun and stay safe this summer!
