September 03, 2025
During the September General Body Meeting, members of the company held a "Push-In" ceremony for our new fire engine. As tradition in the fire service all new apparatus are pushed into the station by the members of the company. Engine 18 is a 2025 Spartan S-180 Pumper. Engine 18 was purchased from Campbell Supply after 100s of hours of officer consideration, committee discussion, and demonstration. Our new apparatus features a hale 1500 gallon per minute pump, 1000 gallon tank and cummins L9 transmission.
Multiple officers and members have dedicated hours each day to outfit and modify the compartment layouts, radio installation, and equipment placement to ensure it is fully operational for our community. All these service hours by our talented members have saved the company thousands of dollars, allowing for additional projects to be completed around the station this year.
Following tradition, each year Seraphim Reynolds of Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Loyalsock stops to bless all the apparatus and company equipment. Normally held in July as part of their Feast of Saint Elijah, we were honored these members of the community remember and take time to honor our company.
