February 8, 2026- Station 18 was dispatched to the 900 block of Freedom Road for working house fire. Chief 3-18 and Engine 1 arrived on scene to find the home fully involved. No one was reported injured in the fire that broke out at approximately 5:20 pm, however it was originally reported one occupant returned inside the home. All occupants were confirmed entrapped inside the home. Fire apparatus responding could see a column of heavy smoke in the sky from Grampian Blvd, which was more than a mile away from the incident scene.
Crews battled agains thick dense smoke, hazards of power lines burning off the structure, and extreme weather conditions.
2nd Alarm brought units from Williamsport Bureau of Fire, Hepburn Township, South Williamsport, Eldred Township, Montoursville, Old Lycoming, DuBoistown, Trout Run, Woodward Township, and move up of Nesbit, Hughesville, and Clinton Township.
Fire is still currently under investigation. State Police Fire Marshall will assist Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company with the investigation of the incident.
