Earlier this morning, Station 18 was dispatched to 1951 Inverness Road for reported house on fire. Crews arrived on scene to find an vacant home with smoke coming from the windows and roof line. Neighbor reported the incident stated ” a lot of smoke coming out of all the attic vents and from under the eaves.” 2nd alarm fire brought in mutual aid responders from: City of Williamsport, Montoursville, Eldred Township, Woodward Township, Old Lycoming, Hepburn Township, and DuBoistown. Crews battled fire in a small crawl space above the basement which spread through to the first floor of the home. Bulk of the fire was knocked down in about 30 minutes.
