Acquired Structure Live Burn

Earlier this month, members joined fellow firefighters in our area for a rare and unique training evolution. Firefighters trained under live fire conditions by utilizing an old cabin in the Picture Rocks area. As instructors ignited the house, class participants worked on fire extinguishment skills, search and rescue, ventilation, and studied fire behavior. In a controlled manner, newer members were introduced to real life fire conditions, working with neighboring fire companies, and in roles they may or may not normally fill on incidents.
