Drivers all ages new and old, remember to slow down and move over when approaching emergency scenes on the roadway. Failure to do so is breaking the law and punishable with fines and even loss of license. Despite move over laws are different in every state, first responders remain at risk for being killed or injured by passing vehicles at roadside emergencies.
Twelve percent of on-duty and volunteer responder fatalities occur each year while responding to or returning from incidents. Majority of those fatalities result from vehicle crashes. Vehicle collision is the second leading cause for responder fatalities. Loyalsock is committed to reducing responder fatalities and injuries by helping to create safer operational responses through additional in-house training and scenario based drills, and extensive driver training program for each level of our apparatuses.
